TRAKUOSE ŽALGIRIO MŪŠIO MINĖJIMO RENGINIUOSE PAGERBTAS VYTAUTO DIDŽIOJO ASMUO
Ilgąjį Joninių savaitgalį Trakuose buvo iškilmingai paminėtos Žalgirio mūšio 600-osios metinės. Dvi dienas trukęs renginys buvo skirtas pagerbti lietuvių kariaunai šiame mūšyje vadovavusio kunigaikščio Vytauto Didžiojo asmenį ir atkreipti žmonių dėmesį į šiandien nepelnytai užmirštą jo gimtinę ir senąją Lietuvos sostinę - Senuosius Trakus.
Neatsitiktinai renginių ciklas buvo pradėtas būtent Senųjų Trakų Viešpaties Apreiškimo Švč. M. Marijai ir Šv. Benedikto bažnyčioje - 1405 metais Vytautas Didysis savo gimtojoje pilyje Senuosiuose Trakuose įkurdino vienuolius benediktinus ir tuo metu tai buvo vienintelis kontempliatyvusis vienuolynas Lietuvoje. Renginiai pradėti Šv. Mišiomis, kurias aukojo Vilniaus arkivyskupijos vyskupas Juozas Tunaitis ir Trakų parapijos klebonas Valdas Girdžiušas. Po Šv. Mišių ir sakralinės muzikos koncerto simbolinę pergalės Žalgirio mūšyje vėliavą riteriai iš Senųjų Trakų nešė į Trakus, kur buvo sutikti ir pasveikinti miesto valdžios, karaimų šokėjų bei iškilmingų fanfarų.
Visas dvi dienas mieste šurmuliavo nuotaikinga tautodailininkų, ūkininkų ir menininkų mugė, trakiečiams ir miesto svečiams koncertavo lietuvių, lenkų, totorių ir karaimų folkloro ansambliai. Šventės svečiai galėjo ne tik pasiklausyti ansamblių atliekamos muzikos ir pasižiūrėti šokių - mažuosius šventės lankytojus pramogomis džiugino Raganiukės teatras, vyresnieji stebėjo istorinį spektaklį apie didžiuosius Lietuvos kunigaikščius. Lietuvos bajorų karališkoji sąjunga renginyje pristatė originalaus dydžio J. Mateikos paveikslo „Žalgirio mūšis" reprodukciją, šiuo metu keliaujančią per Lietuvą, o norintieji patikrinti savo istorines žinias buvo kviečiami dalyvauti viktorinoje. Taip pat šventės metu buvo atidaryta Savicko dailės mokyklos Trakų plenero paroda, kurios rengėjai šventės svečius mokino dailės ir fotografijos technikų. Norintieji taip pat galėjo prisijungti ir prie Trakų meno mokyklos fanfarinio orkestro žygio per Trakų miestą.
Abiejų dienų renginius vainikavo vakaro koncertai: jungtinio Vilniaus universitetų choro ir Trakų meno mokyklos atliekama Carl Orff „Carmina Burana" bei baigiamasis Žalgirio mūšio 600-ųjų metinių Trakuose koncertas, kuriame dalyvavo Lietuvos kamerinis orkestras, Kauno valstybinis choras bei solistės Ieva Prudnikovaitė ir Ona Kolobovaitė. Visi renginiai šį kartą Trakuose vyko pusiasalio pilies teritorijoje, taip siekiant dar kartą Trakų lankytojams priminti, kad čia yra ne viena kunigaikščių Kęstučio ir Vytauto Didžiojo statyta pilis, bet dvi - Salos ir Pusiasalio pilys.
Šventė sulaukė daugybės svečių iš visos Lietuvos ir užsienio, o trakiečiai negalėjo atsistebėti ir džiaugėsi atgijusiu miestu, jaukiu mugės šurmuliu, nuotaikingais ir iškilmingais pasirodymais, spektakliais, pramogomis. Trakų istorinio nacionalinio parko direkcija, Trakų krašto kultūros ir amatų asociacija džiaugiasi žmonių susidomėjimu renginiu, rėmėjų gausa, atlikėjų ir kolektyvų nuoširdumu.
